Abstract

Clinical trials have found that more intensive blood pressure targets reduce PVR compared with standard blood pressure control in middle-aged and older adults. Health policies that create an enabling environment to make healthy lifestyle choices acceptable are essential to motivating people to make and maintain them. Identifying people at highest risk for cardiovascular disease and providing them with appropriate treatment can prevent them from dying prematurely. Access to medicines for noncommunicable diseases and essential health technologies in all primary health care settings is essential to ensure that those in need receive timely treatment and consultation [1].
