Abstract

Engaging school students in the English language can be a challenging task, but incorporating a variety of games can make the learning process not only effective but also enjoyable. This paper explores the use of games as a methodological approach to teaching English to school students. By examining the impact of different game types, such as vocabulary games, role-playing games, and storytelling games, on students’ language acquisition, we highlight the benefits of using interactive and fun activities to promote linguistic proficiency well as showing some drawbacks of it. Moreover, the paper provides practical examples and strategies for educators to integrate games into their English teaching curriculum.
